Linda Nagy Johnston holds a Master of Music degree from the Mannes College of Music in New York City and a Bachelor of Music degree, Summa Cum Laude, from Potsdam College of the State University of New York, where she was a Presser Scholar Award recipient.
Linda has performed as Principal Second Violinist of the Akron Symphony Orchestra since 1989, and also performs with the Canton Symphony Orchestra, where she has been a member of the Canton Symphony String Quartet.
Ms. Johnston has performed as soloist with the Akron Symphony Orchestra; the Canton Symphony Orchestra; the Amherst Symphony Orchestra in Buffalo, New York; the National Repertory Orchestra in Keystone, Colorado; and as a recitalist in the People's Republic of China. She has participated in the New Hampshire Music Festival; the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan; the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria; the Sir Georg Solti Project at Carnegie Hall; the Spoleto Festival in the USA and Italy; and the Aspen Music School. She has also performed with the New York City Opera and the Blossom Festival Orchestra.
